A garden with room for everyone

We want everyone to be able to explore our work, ask questions and plan a celebration. We are working to make this website usable by people with a range of disabilities, devices and assistive technologies.

Our approach

Our accessibility goal is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. Our work includes clear page structure, descriptive form labels, visible keyboard focus, text alternatives for meaningful photographs, keyboard-operable controls and support for reduced-motion preferences.

This is an ongoing effort, rather than a claim that every part of the website has been independently audited or meets every success criterion.

Ways to use the website

You can navigate links and form controls with a keyboard, enlarge text using your browser and turn on the reduced-motion setting in your device preferences to reduce decorative movement. Decorative illustrations are hidden from assistive technologies. The “Pause motion” button at the bottom left pauses the garden’s decorative movement and the automatic mobile service slideshow, and remembers your choice on this device. When your device requests reduced motion, the website uses that preference automatically.

If the form or gallery is difficult to use, you are welcome to contact Katia directly by email or phone to discuss the same services.

Areas we are improving

Our October 2026 review covers responsive layouts, keyboard controls, form labels, focus visibility, motion preferences and selected text contrast. Automated checks support this work, but do not establish full conformance. We have not completed an independent audit or comprehensive testing with screen readers and other assistive technologies. We continue to review these areas. Third-party websites, including social platforms linked from this site, are outside our control and may have different accessibility features.

Tell us how we can help

If you encounter a barrier, please share the page address, what you were trying to do and, if you are comfortable, the browser or assistive technology you use. Let us know your preferred way to receive a reply. We will work with you to provide the information or assistance you need.

For questions, contact Katia at apicnicinthegarden@gmail.com or +1 646-281-3304. A Picnic In The Garden is based in New York City.
